Aboriginal Culture

Deepening our understanding of, and appreciation for, the traditions and culture of our First Nations people is a priority at Inglewood Primary School.

At Inglewood Primary School, it is our aim to become a culturally responsive school that has a strong ethos based on respecting and valuing diversity.

The Department of Education’s Aboriginal Cultural Standards Framework (ACSF) sets expected standards for staff when working with Aboriginal students, their families and communities. It guides staff to incorporate culturally responsive attitudes, values and behaviours into their everyday work. The framework gives us a basis to reflect on our approaches to Aboriginal education, strive for improvement, and engage Aboriginal families and communities in schooling. It is about transforming our practices as we collectively move towards a more capable and responsive organisation.

More information will be shared with our community once the school’s latest documentation is finalised.
