Kaya Parents and Carers,
Wanjoo to Week 6 and the beautiful tail end of the Noongar season of Bunuru.
At Inglewood Primary School, we are dedicated to nurturing inspired, curious and confident learners. We have been refining our student support and intervention processes over the past 12 months and with these now embedded we are now shifting our focus. One of our many strategic plan goals for this year is to improve our understanding of, and support for, high achieving students so we can create a supportive environment that allows gifted students to flourish. To ensure they thrive both academically, socially and emotionally, we have begun several strategies and support mechanisms this year.
Professional learning for staff
We have engaged the services of PEAC (Primary Extension and Challenge) to provide professional learning and in class coaching so our teachers are well informed and have the necessary skills to support high achieving students in the classroom academically, socially and emotionally. Our Deputy and Instructional Coach, Nikki Edwards, is leading this inquiry and we are already seeing the benefits of her leadership in this space.
