Wanjoo to a brand new school year!

We hope you had a wonderful and refreshing break and are ready for an exciting year ahead. As we step into this new chapter, we look forward to a year filled with learning, growth, and more opportunities to capture memories as a family. Our teachers and staff have been working hard to prepare an engaging and supportive environment where every student can thrive. As a school we are committed to making this year one of curiosity, kindness, and striving to be the best we can. On behalf of the staff, we are so glad to have you back and look forward to another great year at IPS.

Leading Cultures of Teaching Excellence is a Department of Education initiative that we were invited to participate in last year and will continue with in 2025. Our focus area is Reading instruction, and we have two outstanding coaches who are supporting staff with explicit strategies to build comprehension through high level questioning. A priority area in our current strategic plan is strengthening connected practice and we are excited by the prospect of what will be achieved this year. Our committed and superb teaching staff have embraced this approach and openly support each other with improvement measures. As a principal it is a joy to work with alongside the highly professional staff at IPS, and I am looking forward to continuing our school improvement journey this year.
